A perch on the 400ft cliff is at a premium, especially when near the harbour. At the Temple Bar (regret drinks not served) you walk right underneath a Clovelly resident’s kitchen and dining room, which act as an archway over the High Street.  Temple Bar was onced used as a shelter for the Clovelly donkeys.
